Returning to a Travelopo villa in May was a dream. I had the pleasure of reviewing a Travelopo villa last October and we loved our little home in the Mallorcan countryside, so getting to return with friends and family to an even fancier villa was VERY EXCITING!
This time I was sure to ask for a villa that was within walking distance of town so we could casually stroll into the centre for dinner without having to get the car out each day.
Our villa, Can Mos, was a five minute walk into the centre of Pollenca Old Town, up a very narrow winding road with no visible neighbours, so we had the benefit of feeling like we were in the countryside whilst still being close to town. As soon as I arrived I went running from room to room in excitement to see my new home for the week. It was big!

The villa had three double rooms and one twin room, three en suite with a separate downstairs toilet and wash room. The two smallest rooms had private balconies, whilst the two large rooms at the front of the house each had enough space for sofa beds or a cot and views overlooking the garden and surrounding greenery.

The downstairs had a large kitchen, even bigger living room, (both with table and chairs to seat at least 8) and a kitchen filled with all the mod cons needed. It would be great if the villa had an open fire like the last villa I stayed in, though we certainly didn’t need one when we stayed in May. This was definitely more a house for summer, though there was certainly plenty of space indoors if the weather wasn’t up to scratch.
The best part of the house was the large outside area. There was a large swimming pool, table tennis and table football as well as another large table to seat everyone staying. We ate all our meals outside and only really went indoors to cook or sleep.

The house also had an indoor pool and gym, complete with another shower room. There was certainly plenty of space to not feel confined even if you had 10 people in the house. We didn’t use the indoor pool, as the outdoor was all we needed, but it felt luxurious just knowing it was there and though I did attempt one morning to use the gym, I thought better of it and ate some more tapas instead! 😉

I could have spent weeks longer chilling at Villa Can Mos. It was the perfect place to unwind, relax, read and laugh with friends. There was also speedy wifi to catch up on work, when relaxing got too much?! We had a cocktail party on our last night and enjoyed a mixture of home cooked food fresh from the market and evening strolls into town to enjoy dinner in the Pollenca Old Town Square.

There was one restaurant in the main square that was fantastic. It was less tapas and more big main meals, but between the 7 of us we visited 3 times over the week and each time was equally delicious. (I’ve tried to find the name but instead my instructions to you are… opposite the Travelopo office, on the corner with a menu that is different from the rest of the ‘standard’ menus everywhere else… hope you find it and if you do let me know the name).

My only improvement would be to leave a few essentials in the kitchen. Though we were provided with plenty of toilet roll and clean bed sheets and towels, the kitchens are left completely empty, not a salt and pepper pot in sight. I imagine so much is wasted each week as new people arrive with new oils, salt, pepper, washing up liquid etc that to me it would make sense to leave a cupboard with some non perishables inside for guests. That said I do love a supermarket sweep around a foreign supermarket!
